Cathy is the Consulting Grants & Database Associate at the Allen Whitehill Clowes Charitable Foundation. She has extensive experience in grantmaking and grants management. Cathy works closely with the foundation staff to provide comprehensive grantmaking and grants management support. Her role involves developing and implementing systems and practices for grant data collection, storage, and analysis, ensuring adherence to due diligence requirements and document retention policies. She collaborates with the Vice President/Director of Programs and the Office Manager to enhance grantmaking policies and procedures, identifying opportunities to streamline and simplify technology-enabled processes. Additionally, she generates reports on grantmaking activity, history, and trends for the foundation’s staff and board. She also participates in and contributes to the foundation’s planning, strategy, implementation, and communication efforts, further supporting the foundation’s mission and goals.
Cathy is a philanthropy professional with 20+ years of experience working with grantmaking foundations. During her tenure at the Maine Health Access Foundation, Cathy held various roles, ultimately culminating in the Director of Grants Management position. Her proven track record in leading grants management processes and systems is a testament to her ability to handle significant responsibilities and deliver results. With a Master of Arts in Philanthropic Studies & Nonprofit Management and an MBA, she has a robust educational foundation in philanthropy, nonprofit management, and business administration. Cathy is passionate about philanthropy and committed to supporting the Arts and Humanities through her work at the Allen Whitehill Clowes Charitable Foundation.
